GA State and National Parks

If you are a follower of my blog, you may know that my husband, Shane, and I are on a mission.  Our bucket list is to visit all 66 state parks in Georgia over the next three years.

At the time of writing this we have visited quite a few but only camped at one.  The reason we are doing this is to prepare to hike the Appalachian trail in north Georgia and then spend three months in Alaska learning how to live a subsistence lifestyle.  You can read about those adventures by clicking links above.

My short-term goal is to educate myself and others about the parks right here in Georgia that are waiting for us to visit.  Below is alink to an interactive map that shows the parks, attractions near the park and good eats in the area.

State and National Parks, site seeing and good eats map.

When picking a park, I find that is the best place to go as it has a quick list of all the parks, allows you to reserve your space, cottage, yurt or lodge. And if you want to follow along with the sites we have visited I have those below.
